Pasta Fiorentina

This week you are making a dish 'Fiorentina' or 'Florentine' - the origin of dishes like this is from Florence in Italy. If you see 'Fiorentina' on a menu, it means that the dish includes spinach. You could also use other green vegetables, such as rocket leaves, watercress or kale as an alternative if you prefer.

Top Tips!

- When cooking pasta, different shapes can take different amount of time. Therefore, have a look at the packet instructions.

- Pasta should be cooked until 'al dente' - which is Italian and roughly translates as to having some bite on the tooth. It should not be too hard nor too soft.

- Please bring an oven-proof dish if you wish to bake or grill your pasta (you do not have to).

- Crème fraiche has a slightly sour taste and is delicious in savoury recipes. If you cannot find it in the shops, use double cream and a sqeeze of lemon instead.
