Hey! Today in Food we made VEGETABLE SOUP! The reason I titled this blog, “Kinda’ Cream of Mushroom Soup!” is because you have to add cream or milk to your soup if you want an extremely creamy texture, but I didn’t.
This is the recipe I used:
Additional things I used:
- 2 medium sized mushrooms (..... because it’s cream of “mushroom” soup)
Tap on the clip below to see the process of me making this soup:
What went well:
- The texture of my soup was creamy.
- The leek and celery gave my soup a really strong flavour.
- The chicken stock went well with the flavour of the mushrooms.
What could have been improved:
- My soup was quite thin so I could have added less water to my vegetables so it would have been creamier and thicker.
- I could have added more mushrooms so that it’s flavour was distinct.
- I had some very small potatoes and that made the soup less thicker.
What I enjoyed doing :
- Cutting all the colourful vegetables
- Using the hand blender

I like the title! Please add a photo. How did you know when the soup was fully cooked? Miss Harvey

Sure! We squished the potatoes and carrots against the side of the saucepan and if they got squashed we knew that the soup was fully cooked!
