To start my pasta bake, I first boiled my pasta so that it was ready to eat. Once the pasta was cooked I drained it and left it to cool. I then started my white sauce by combining butter and flour over a medium heat to create a rue. When the sauce was thick enough to form a ball, I added the milk and simmered it on a low heat until it was thick and creamy. I prefer to use this method as it ensures that all of the flour is cooked out. If the flour is not completely cooked out, it can leave your sauce grainy and with a flour-like taste. Once my white sauce was finished I added cheese and sweet corn to give my sauce some texture and bite. After my sauce was done, I mixed in my pasta and put it under the grill to crisp up the top.

Lovely explanation of your choice of method.
