Macaroni Cheese

My grated cheese

My boiling pasta

My white sauce thick and ready

My macaroni ready to eat

Today I made macaroni cheese. It was very fun and is something that I will make again. I made the pasta and the white sause separately and then mixed them together.

I first made my pasta to do this I boiled water in the kettle  and put it in the saucepan until the water started to bubble, which I then added my pasta. Whilst this was cooking, I grated my cheese with a grater. I stirred my pasta and when it was cooked I strained it in a strainer. I’ll let my pasta cool and then made my white sauce. To do this I added butter, milk and flour one after the other  I stired this all the way through at a low heat it until it became thick. Once it was thick enough, I mixed my pasta with the sauce and stirred in cheese. I finally added pepper and salt.

Overall I enjoyed this and next ti e I think I could add in other extras, like tuna, sweet corn etc.

    1. Because the flour in the sauce released starch which thickened the sauce
