On 3.5.18 we made risotto. There was lots of frying involved! But is fun just to see how it is made, as I have never done it before.
To make my risotto, I started by finely chopping an onion and cutting my mushrooms and chorizo into evenly sized pieces. I then fried my onions in a small amount of butter before adding the risotto rice.
When the rice started to turn translucent, I then added 100ml of hot stock cube water with sweet corn. I did this because if I put my corn in the pan , it would eventually burn. Once the stock had been absorbed by the rice, I added another 100ml of stock. I continued to do this until I used all of my stock. As my rice wasn’t ready I added more water until the rice was soft.
Once my risotto to was done I sprinkled in cheese and lightly cooked until it melted, I left this to the end so that my cheese would not burn.
Over all, making the risotto was good and it tasted as good as it smelled!
